With a curved design and wedge-shaped wire, they efficiently separate solids from liquids by gravity. These screens are used in dewatering, classification, and slurry screening, providing superior filtration, high capacity, and long service life. Available in various configurations, including stainless steel and corrosion-resistant materials.

Sieve Bend Screens are custom designed to separate solids from liquids in various applications including food processing, pulp and paper, waste water cleanup,
surface water intakes, corn wet milling, coal preparation, and gold recovery. The gravity-fed Sieve Bend design provides for effective dewatering and allows the solids to slide off the end of the screen surface.

Structures: A sieve bend consists of a concave curved profile wire/wedge wire screen mounted in a frame with the screen openings perpendicular to the flow. Typically, end bars are welded on the top and bottom of the screen for strength and installation purposes. A curved screen has greater capacity than a flat screen due to forces exerted as material flows against the curved surface.

OPEN AREA
Dependant upon the wire and slot chosen, the sieve will provide varied open area in relation to the potential flow rate. Mechanical strength may also be a consideration.

SURFACE FINISHING

Polished : to be able to improve fine fibre removal, the wire surface can be ground and polished.
Electro-polished : a premium surface which reduces surface roughness and can assist in fine fibre separation.

Screen Panels for Static Dewatering:
Numerous combination of wire screen panel is supplied for static dewatering equipments. The dewatering screens have gravitary feed. The solid particles and the liquid are separated on a bend or folded wedge wire screen. The liquid flow through the panel screen, altough the solid particles roll down.
